plant propagation and environmental sustainability
Nakheel International Company for Agricultural and Animal Investment is a legally registered Iraqi company. We provide professional, efficient, and reliable services, adhering to international health and safety standards for plant propagation and its environmental benefits, including:
- Contributing to soil stabilization (reducing desertification), thus enhancing agricultural potential
- Preventing water vater runoff and seepage into the soil, allowing water to reach underground aquifers and improving the water supply for living organisms.
- Absorbing harmful gases from the atmosphere, such as carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide, in addition to releasing oxygen-as a single large tree can provide a full day’s oxygen supply for four people

The market also indicates that livestock projects serve as a source of income for young people and help reduce unemployment by offering numerous job opportunities. Raising various arious types of livestock, such as calves and cows, provides multiple benefits-including the production of dairy and meat products.
Mangrove plant cultivation
Introduction: Mangrove ecosystems are among the most productive ecological systems and hold significant importance due to their direct contribution to biodiversity conservation. They play a vital role in supporting the food chain and providing shelter and habitats for a wide variety of marine wildlife such as fish, shrimp, oysters, and crustaceans. Additionally, they support numerous forms of terrestrial life, including insects, birds, certain reptiles, and other biodiversity components essential for maintaining ecological balance.
Moreover, mangroves contribute to carbon sequestration by acting as major carbon sinks. Their roots have the capacity to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it in the soil. Carbon dioxide is one of the main greenhouse gases responsible for global warming and climate change. Mangrove forests surpass tropical rainforests in carbon storage capacity by approximately six to eight times, making them highly effective in mitigating the impacts of climate change

In addition, mangrove swamps are known for their stunning and captivating landscapes, making them an attractive destination for ecotourism development.

Following the successful experiment of mangrove cultivation in the dendritic area of Khor Al-Zubair, conducted by the Marine Science Center at the Khor Al-Zubair Port site, our company is moving forward in collaboration with the Marine Science Center and under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Environment.

Our company has obtained official approval to plant mangroves along the Iraqi coastal environment, specifically in the dendritic zone of Khor Al-Zubair. This initiative aims to enhance the marine environment and achieve a balance between environmental conservation and the sustainable use of the marine zone.

We are working in cooperation with the Marine Science Center and the Ministry of Environment, under our company’s supervision, to cultivate mangrove trees in the dendritic area opposite the Khor Al- Zubair Port.
